From: Dave A.
Sent on: Thursday, April 16, 2015, 7:49 AM

At the April meeting, we'll be discussing how to grow your business by contributing to open source and speaking at conferences.  Our expert speaker will be Jim Gay, who is:

• founder of the Saturn Flyer application development and graphic design studio,

• author of Clean Ruby and Ruby DSL Handbook,

• Lead Developer for Radiant CMS,

• prolific contributor to many other open-source projects,

• occasional co-host of the Ruby 5 podcast,

• speaker at RubyConf 2013, RubyConf 2014, Ruby KaigiWroclove.rbArrrrCamp, and RubyNation,

• and co-founder of the Arlington Ruby Meetup.

He has been building Ruby and Rails applications professionally since 2006, and his designs have been published in HOW Magazine and The Best of LogoLounge.

Approximate Schedule:

6:30 pm: we get a table
7:00 pm: order dinner
8:00 pm: presentation starts
9:00 pm: meeting ends

The Meetup is free, but attendees will pay for their own dinner on separate checks.  It would be great if you could recruit a friend or three, especially if they're DC-area computer consultants or have special expertise on the topic.

PLEASE RSVP YES IF COMING, AND CHANGE IT TO "NO" IF YOU THEN WON'T COME AFTER ALL.
