The State of DevOps and High-Performing Teams & Risk in Your DevOps Pipeline

Do we have the line up for you! Join us on March 21st for a NOT TO MISS EVENT! There will be networking, refreshments and more!

Opener: The State of DevOps - Capabilities for Building High-performing Technology Teams with Nathan Harvey, Google
Technology drives value and innovation in every organization. At Google Cloud, we have learned a lot about what it takes to build and scale high-performing technology teams. Our own experience, combined with a multi-year research program led by the DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) team can be used to help you and your team transform into a high-performing technology team. This talk will dive into some of the findings of the 2022 DORA research program.
Meet Nathan Harvey...
Nathen Harvey, Developer Advocate at DORA and Google Cloud, has built a career on helping teams realize their potential while aligning technology to business outcomes. Nathen has had the privilege of working with some of the best teams and open source communities, helping them apply the principles and practices of DevOps and SRE. He is part of the Google Cloud DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) research team and a co-author of the 2021 and 2022 Accelerate State of DevOps Reports. Nathen was an editor for 97 Things Every Cloud Engineer Should Know, published by O'Reilly in 2020.

Closer: Understanding Risk in Your DevOps Pipeline with Adam Sandman, Inflectra
As we look to release features faster and increase our rate of delivery with agile methods and DevOps, how do we assess risk in our pipeline? In this talk I will discuss different types of risk (conceptual, technical, schedule) and how we can use metrics and measures from our DevOps toolchain to understand what our measure of quality is. With this information, I will demonstrate how we can minimize risk while releasing high quality code faster.
