Hi guys,
25th April
Yes
we scan! Software Analysis using jQAssistant
Dirk
Mahler, a member of the Saxony JUG, is in London today. His talk presents the approach behind the open
source software analytics tool jQAssistant: which can be plugged into the build process to allow
scanning of relevant structural information like Java packages, classes and
Maven descriptors into a Neo4j graph database and applying rules to them.
**Special ticket offer! 3 lucky members of
the audience will receive tickets for the Graph Connect Conference in London on
26th April. For your chance to win, make sure you come along to
tonight’s event**

Coder
Dojo Whitechapel
CoderDojo Whitechapel is a free coding club for kids. All ages
are welcome (our main audience is 5-16 years old).
You will need to bring your own laptop that can be connected to the internet - NOT an iPad - an children must be accompanied by an adult.
Don’t worry if you’ve never coded before, all you will need to
do is bring a laptop and have fun. There will be mentors to assist you at every
point.
And if you have coded before, then the mentors will be able to
take your knowledge to the next level. Bring along your programming or code
projects for our special “Show & Tell” session, to share with the other
ninjas.

Java
Generics: Past, Present and Future
RSVPs open on Monday for this talk from
the Docklands.LJC.
Generics
are one of the most complex features of Java. They are often poorly understood
and lead to confusing errors. Unfortunately, it won’t get easier. Java 10,
release planned for 2018, extends Generics, so it’s time to understand generics
or risk being left behind.
Details
will be available on the London Java Community home page on 25 April.

The

… is for people who live in London and are interested
in programming in Clojure. The group’s main activities are 2 monthly dojos, and
one monthly set of talks. The dojos are where they help one another to learn
Clojure and provide a chance to code that our day jobs may not allow. They also
organise occasional lunches, hack days, reading groups, sprints… For details of
what’s coming up, see the calendar

That’s all the event news from me until mid-May when I’ll be back with details of more free events for developers.
