Following the success of the 2010 Baja Workshop:

http://www.ianmurrayp...

there will be a repeat visit to this amazing location in 2011. Under the expert guidance of professional photographer Ian Murray and renowned Marine Mammal Expert Michael Fishbach we will spend a couple of days developing our photography skills while enjoying the unique marine environment which teems with Dolphins, Whales, Manta Rays, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles and a wealth of bird life.

In our well equipped Panga boat we will get up close and personal with the marine mammals, including likely encounters with Blue Whales, Humpback Whales, Sperm Whales, Brutus Whales and may even see the very rare Dwarf Sperm Whale which we found on our trip this year. THis is a unique and excellent way to develop your nature photography skills while grabbing some WOW images for your portfolio.

On the remaining days we will explore the quaint town of Loreto with its wealth of local characters and colorful buildings, not forgetting to visit the ancient town mission founded in 1697, which still has an elaborately gilded altar piece.

We can also head into the mountains to visit the village of San Javier with its stunning desert oasis ,orange groves and ancient mission. Here we will see 300 year old olive trees and stunning bird life. On our way back we can stop off to visit pre-historic rock and cave paintings.

The workshop is open to a limit of 10 people and is suitable for all levels of photographer.

The trip includes:

?accommodation in double rooms in a well appointed hotel

?all meals

?all trips and boat hire

?all tuition and guides

Cost for the week is $2800
Single room accommodation is available for an additional $350

RSVP with a deposit of $500 per person to reserve a space. Balance to be paid in full by Nov[masked].
Deposit is non-refundable except upon the cancellation of this workshop.

The trip does not include travel to or from your point of origin to Loreto, Baja or transfers from the airport.

Our marine action photography workshop runs the week before this one and is focused primarily on shooting the action on the water from an open boat which enables very close proximity to the whales. If you are looking for a more leisurely approach with more time on land then consider joining this more leisurely workshop with ample time to compose and set-up the shots under the expert tuition of Ian Murray ( Ian Murray Photography Website).

If you want to combine the best of both worlds and improve your skills in nature photography with ample time to learn in more leisurely fashion on land then come along for the combined 10 day workshop which begins on Feb 27.
