I hate putting out these emails just as I hate getting them but I want everyone to know the timeline at Devore.  This beautiful, happy, smiling, by all shelter accounts healthy and sweet boy killed on July 1.  He came in as a stray on June 24, available on June 28, dead on July 1.  I'm devastated that I couldn't get this dog out in time.  This was a highly adoptable dog, perfect for any family, with an alert "let's go have fun" smile.  I did not know until too late that if you are interested in networking a dog, an ip buys 7 days at this shelter. They will not call you on the 7th day.  Had I known this I would have called the shelter.    In memory of this dog who shouldn't have died, who shouldn't have been a stray in the first place like so many others, please keep taking a look at the Devore website and network these dogs.  I am very sad that I couldn't save him and his face has stayed in my mind and heart.
