How Meetup+ works
In the past, there were three membership tiers you could choose from: Member, Organizer, and Pro Organizer. Now there’s a tier between Member and Organizer that gives active community members the opportunity to customize their experience and gain some organizer capabilities, all at a lower monthly fee than the Organizer tier. Meetup+ badge
Every member who gets a premium subscription will receive a distinct Meetup+ badge attached to their profile. It’s an easy way to stand out from the crowd and demonstrate that you’re an active, invested community participant. Whenever you RSVP, send a message, or appear throughout the app, other members will know that you’re Meetup+.
Priority event announcements
Say goodbye to event waitlists. As of January 2023, Meetup+ subscribers will hear about new events as they are announced before the rest of Meetup.
An ad-free experience of Meetup across all platforms
Meetup+ provides you more of what you love, and less of what you don’t. Subscribers to this tier won’t see ads appear on the Meetup app or on the website. This includes ads that normally appear on pages, as well as those that appear after you register for events.
Custom app icons
When you become a Meetup+ subscriber, you get access to unique app icons designed in-house by the Meetup team. This allows you to swap out the existing Meetup logo on your phone’s home screen, and replace it with a unique and personalized icon. From a range of images (some available only for a limited time), you can choose the custom icon that best represents you and how you use Meetup.
Prioritized support
Whenever you have questions, Meetup will be ready to assist. All Meetup+ members have prioritized access to the resources of Meetup’s Community Support team.

The presence of new premium members can actually improve your own experience as a group organizer.

How to subscribe to Meetup+
Starting in mid-December, when you log in through the latest version of the Meetup app and visit your profile screen, you’ll be prompted with a screen that has simple instructions for becoming a Meetup+ member. With a small fee, you can experience all of the above features through the app.
If you want to see what it’s like to have Meetup+ benefits, you can opt for a seven-day free trial period. When you do become a subscriber, the monthly fee will be auto-renewed, giving you one less thing to worry about as your social life grows.
