Based on feedback and interviews, Meetup is rolling out some exciting new features on Meetup Pro to help Pro administrators and organizers foster deeper connections with members in a network. Check out the full list of updates to learn how to use the new features and get a look at what’s coming next in the latest Meetup features.
Network Event Scheduler
This new event scheduling tool is the timesaver you’ve been looking for. Using the Network Event Scheduler, Meetup Pro administrators can create one event (a network event) and share it across multiple groups within a network. This tool allows event creators to:
- Easily create a single event and share it across multiple groups
- Automatically adjust event times to each group’s time zone
- Leverage the existing group filter tools to quickly target the right members
- Apply edits to events across multiple groups
- See an aggregate list of network event attendees
- Communicate with all event attendees from the Meetup Pro dashboard
To schedule your first network event, log in to your Pro Dashboard and head to the Groups page. Select the groups to include and click Create network event.
Custom subject lines
A great subject line is a reliable way to get readers to open emails. Now, Pro administrators can customize subject lines on messages sent from the Meetup Pro dashboard.
Have fun with this feature by adding an emoji or two, but please keep all subject lines relevant and accurate for readers. Test out some creative new subjects by following these instructions.
Increased branding capabilities
All groups within a Meetup Pro network will now have the network logo in the corner of their cover photos. By having the network logo in a uniform location among Meetup groups, networks will have greater brand consistency for a polished, professional look.
The Meetup Pro platform will now display group cover photos next to each group’s name on the Pro network’s landing page.
Add a network logo by visiting the Settings tab of the Meetup Pro dashboard.
What’s coming
We’re already looking ahead to the next round of updates to the Meetup Pro platform. Soon, Pro organizers will see enhanced options for sponsorship within the platform. In addition to the individual group sponsors feature, Meetup Pro administrators will be able to add network sponsors from the Pro dashboard that will appear across all groups and events.
Stay tuned for a major update to the Meetup API. The GraphQL API we’re launching will allow for more simplified queries and clearer documentation than the current REST API, giving Meetup Pro administrators more flexibility.
