Top Q&A Questions:
- Will the event pages be updated across all platforms?
- Justin: The updates I was speaking to apply only to web. I believe the apps did roll out an event page update in the past 4 months or so. We all have separate roadmaps but we all do have an eye towards performance.
- Will organizers have some way of knowing what is trending on search?
- Nick: Today, I don’t think that they do but with the upcoming release of an organizer-focused app for Meetup, we are in the middle of conversations about how we can expose more data-driven metrics to organizers to help them build better groups and attract more members.
- If members have turned off notifications, will the updates turn notifications back on in a new and improved way?
- Eujin: We basically adhere to what the user has specified in their preferences. Currently, it’s very easy to turn off everything at once. We’re looking into ways to make it more clear to the user what members are actually selecting instead of doing the bucket unsubscribe from all.
