Party at Rich's Place this Saturday!

Hi Everybody,

So I had a pretty long e-mail typed out featuring lists of the various party experiences I've had over the years, a lot of which was augmented with sad faces, that I was going to use as juxtaposition for the writing group party this Saturday. It started like this--

[begin quote]

When I was a young child, parties went like this:

  1. It's my birthday
  2. Let's send out invitations and make goodie bags and watch a movie and eat cake
  3. OR, let's go bowling
  4. OR, let's do laser tag
  5. Let's open presents
  6. Let's sleep over
  7. Let's go home

When I was about 13 or 14, parties went like this:

  1. It's my birthday
  2. I don't have a lot of friends anymore
  3. Let's stop having parties

:(

[end quote]

And only went downhill from there. So after realizing that other people might find my depressing experiences depressing instead of funny (hell, I was beginning to find them pretty depressing myself) I decided to opt for the simpler, cleanlier route.

HEY EVERYBODY! SWEET PARTY AT RICH'S HOUSE THIS SATURDAY, MAY 11TH FROM 7 TO 11 PM! FEATURING:

  • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES THAT AREN'T SHITTY!
  • MUSIC THAT IS NEITHER TOO LOUD NOR BAD!
  • AMPLE ROOM FOR STANDING AND/OR SITTING!
  • A DIVERSE COMMUNITY OF LIKE-MINDED PEERS WITH WHOM YOU SHARE COMMON EXPERIENCES!
  • LIGHT SNACKS MAYBE!
  • TASTEFUL DECOR AND PLEASANT LIGHTING!
  • NO BROS!
  • NO VOMITING!

And so on and so forth. More details on the Meetup. Anyway, we'll have a good time, I promise, and it'd be lovely to see you there.

And of course, send us feedback, and if there's anything you'd like to do just let us know.

Thanks!

-Jake
