Über uns

The Secrets of Scent
If you're curious about the materials that make up perfume, sceptical about bizarre "notes lists" and pondering the mysteries of "parfum", join us to draw back the veil, lift the lid and smell the real ingredients that modern alchemists use to make fragrances.
If you've always wondered what opoponax and nagarmotha smell like, what Ambrox does and what a top note is then this is your home.

Perfume Poker
The first ever Perfume Poker was part of London Craft Week and held at Fenwick of Bond Street. We followed up at Somerset House for the Isabella Blow Exhibit, and at Dreamland in Margate. The concept belongs to "Odette Toilette" (writer and sensory event organiser Lizzie Ostrom) and she has given us her consent to carry on.
At Perfume Poker events we create a one off themed fragrance, adding more and more adventurous materials as we go along. Players can stick or twist - leave with the scent as it stands, or continue as the aroma becomes progressively avant garde - so we appreciate that it ought to be called Perfume Pontoon, but it isn't.

The Wall of Scent
Our first events at 4160Tuesdays were exploring the collection of vintage and unusual modern fragrances that we have acquired. The Wall of Scent is reopening, and at each event you'll be able to smell a themed collection, and the materials which define them, perhaps finding a fragrance to flirt or fall in love with.
