Über uns
This group is dedicated to the Berlin game scene and it's open to anyone interested in games, in all their forms. Everybody's welcome, regardless of their background and knowledge level: if you like games, we'll make sure you have a good time! Since 2013 we've been organising Talk & Play, an event featuring short talks and a showcase of games and game-related projects. Additionally, we've also organised events such as game jams and partnered with other organisations and institutions to promote the local game scene.
In addition to Talk & Play, a series of workshops is in the works.
In between physical events our community keeps in touch through our Discord server, which you are welcome to join: https://discord.gg/jryUJaK. You can find us on Bluesky, Mastodon, Instagram.
On our website BerlinGameScene.com you can find a calendar of various game events happening in the city.
Our Safe Space Policy encourages the behaviour at Talk & Play and other events organised by us. We request that everyone who is affiliated with and participates to the event honours it.

THE TALK PART (PRESENTATIONS)
Alexander Pieper aka "Pepe": OpSec for Game Developers
As game developers we pour all our love into our games and it's time that we bring that same love to keeping them safe.
Growing up during the golden age of video games (the 90s), I turned my passion into a profession and built over 15 years of experience in game development and studio leadership.
alex-pieper.de // @alexpieper.bsky.socialAfter the talk there will be a section dedicated to short announcements from the community, get in touch to reserve a spot: info@berlingamescene.com — same goes if your company is hiring or wants to announce something and you'd like to get a sponsored slot!

ADDITIONAL INFO
Since restarting the event in 2023 we have asked attendees to wear a face mask. This requirement feels incredibly anachronistic these days so at the end of 2025 we decided to drop the requirement. That being said, we ask everyone showing any signs of illness to be considerate and refrain from attending the event. FFP2 masks will continue to be available at the door and we support anyone who feels like wearing one to protect themselves and others 💜
Are you attending the event for the first time, or are you coming on your own? The Talk & Play Ambassadors will be there to assist and answers any questions you have.
Our Safe Space Policy http://berlingamescene.com/safe-space-policy/ encourages the behaviour at Talk & Play. We request that everyone who is affiliated with and participates to the event honours it.
Our event is documented by Julian Dasgupta https://www.flickr.com/photos/12601747@N00/albums — for those who don’t want to be appear in any pictures, we're going to distribute stickers at the door to wear and signal this.
Alcoholic drinks will not be sold or allowed to be consumed during the event.
UE is a partially accessible venue. Feel free to contact us about your access requirements.
This event is organised by the Gamestorm Berlin e.V.
