Building reactive applications with Vert.x and Scala

Vert.x is part of a new breed of application frameworks on the JVM. Reactive programming, a powerful threading model and astonishingly easy clustering are just a few features which make it a perfect choice for a broad range of applications: fast data, microservices, game servers, middleware, ...
Its 3rd major release introduced a host of new features and plugins. Reactive Streams, HTTP 2, Dropwizard metrics, a vastly improved API, to just name a few of them.
