Monday Night Volleyball

Monday night volleyball resumes for 2019! Be sure to come if you sign up - no last minute cancellations please! Note we only meet when school is held, so any snow days or other school closure also cancels this meetup. Cost is $3.

Moth StorySlam at Greyline- Posted as an FYI, not an official Meetup

The Moth is now being held twice each month, on the first and third Tuesdays. You should plan to buy your tickets ONLINE in advance and they may sell out before the day of the show so get them early (go to www.themoth.org (http://www.themoth.org/) and find the show under live events)! Tickets will go on sale one week before the show until they sell out or until 3pm the day of the show. They are about $12 with fees for general admission tickets. Sometimes they do have a limited number of tickets available at the door but there is no guarantee if you will be able to get one so advanced purchase is definitely my recommendation! Here is the info from the website: 6:30 pm Doors / 7:30 Stories Begin *Please note! All tickets guarantee admission, contingent on arrival by 8:30pm. - This venue is 21+. Outside food and beverages are not allowed. There will be a full bar at the event with drinks as well as a few snacks available for purchase. This is not a formal meetup, I am posting this as an FYI to make sure people know about the shows. I may or not be attending regardless of my RSVP status (it always marks me as attending and I don't always remember to update it if I can't attend). You need to get there early if you want to sit as a group. Feel free to use the message space below to coordinate finding each other and sitting together. Seats are NOT guaranteed. Make sure you have already purchased your ticket in advance of the day of the show! Now for the standard information: The Moth is a storytelling event competition with ten story tellers and a winner at the end of the night who will go on to compete in the GrandSlam. It's like an open mic comedy night where people just tell stories centered around a particular theme. You can come to just listen or you can sign up to tell your own story, if you have the chutzpah to pull it off. The theme can be found at themoth.org under events so you can figure out in advance what topic to prepare for if you want to tell a story!

Indoor Volleyball at Pittsfield

Pittsfield Elementary School

All are welcome. We're friendly, forgiving and not highly competitive, but you should be able to serve, move to receive the ball, and pass the ball to the setter, most of the time. This is a popular event so please RSVP right away, and try to show up on time. Cost - $3 cash

Thursday Volleyball at Pittsfield

Pittsfield Elementary School

Yay we're adding a Thursday game! This is a popular event so you should sign up a week in advance, at 7:00 pm. If you joined the wait list, that's also a good time to check if you made it in. This event can fill up in seconds so don't wait! Skill level - intermediate and up. You should be able to serve, pass the ball to the setter, and set the ball for the hitter, most of the time. Cost - $3
