We often hear how difficult it can be to make new friends as an adult and particularly when moving abroad; or when rebuilding social circles cos old friends have moved away or onto new life phases.
Socialising attempts often mean standing in a crowded room, wearing a polite smile, and answering the same three questions: "What do you do?" "Where are you from?" "How long have you been here?" Great for breaking the ice, but rarely leading to something inspiring or meaningful. It’s exhausting. It feels like a performance.
While the absence of authentic connection and meaningful conversations can sometimes leave us feeling a little lonely or like we don't belong.

Authentic You Me was born with a desire to change that.
