AWS User Group (2018-04): Machine Learning Special :)
Details
Hey everyone,
This time we're hosted at the hack.institute HEADQUARTER[S] Downtown office in Neue Weyerstraße 2, 50676 Köln with the following agenda:
• 18:30h – Meet up, socialising, food & drinks
• 19:00h – Intro
• 19:15h – Christoph Henkelmann: Beyond Clickbait - A brief overview of AI in general and ML in particular
Silicon Valley is rebuilding the human brain and Skynet is imminent. At least this is what one might think reading current headlines the accompanying, often poorly researched articles. In this short summary, a first glimpse is given of what AI really means, where the current trends come from, where we are and where things are headed. In addition, there is a very brief overview of best practices in machine learning and an overview of tools that shows that Tensorflow is not everything.
Christoph Henkelmann studied computer science at the University of Bonn, where he made his first acquaintance with artificial intelligence and machine learning. During his work as a developer, software architect and consultant for mobile and server software he was always able to keep track of developments in AI and apply his knowledge in various commercial projects. As co-founder and technical director of DIVISIO GmbH in Cologne, he can now fully concentrate on the use of AI in the business environment, while his experience in the Java Enterprise area helps him to combine theory and practice.
• 20:00h – short break, food & drinks
• 20:15h – ATTENTION: Randall Hunt had to cancel, so we have a free slot
• 21:00h – Roland Gude: About fairness and ethics in algorithms and #ai
What is an algorithm? What is moral/ethics? How to combine?
• Beers & Ethics :)
