Speaker & Talk Information
Mazen Bassiouny: MinIO Storage synchronization and replication to AWS S3
Organizations use many storage solutions for systems that run in their on-premises or private cloud environment. MinIO is a High Performance Object Storage that runs with an AWS S3 compatible API. Having a failover and backup solution in the AWS cloud help to have a disaster recovery plan for such a storage service to ensure business continuity. I will introduce concepts and feature available in MinIO to allow data synchronization to AWS. From there, an extendable cloud-based solution can be used to store the data in AWS S3.

Matthias Lübken: Building an internal AWS platform with Crossplane
There are many AWS services to choose from, and new ones arrive on a daily basis. Organizations struggle to enable teams while maintaining an internal platform that can be managed and updated continuously. Crossplane solves this by leveraging Kubernetes and letting teams use, compose and share infrastructure services like from AWS as Kubernetes objects. In this talk, I will introduce the core concepts of Crossplane.io an Open-Source project from the CNCF. I’ll show how organizations can build their own internal platform and provide a custom API for public clouds like AWS and other services.
