The Hash House Harriers are an International Group founded in 1938 with over 70,000 active worldwide members. We are a social running group (sometimes with walkers) that focuses on the social element rather than just running.

We meet regularly once a month, every second Sunday in the month (sometimes second Saturday, at the choice of the organizer). Our aim is to bring together local Swiss people and expats who want to have some fun and exercise at the same time. It's a great forum to meet new friends and potentially travel internationally as there are a large number of International events hosted by "kennels" (Hash groups) around the world.

Members come in all shapes & sizes, races, ages and fitness levels. We cater for young and old, fast or slow, fit or 'not-so-fit'! The main prerequisites are a sense of humor, willingness to meet new people,open-mindedness, tolerance and a general sense of (sometimes cheeky) fun. We are mainly English-speaking but most of us can speak (some) German, French, etc. Most of our Swiss members are fluent in about 4 languages!
