Dear members of the BDML group,
Autonomous Driving is amongst others one of the mega AI trends of the century. As the technology behind autonomous driving evolves, new use-cases will emerge and organizations that are heavily relying on transportation will experience a transformation of their business models and value chains.
Ever wondered how autonomous driving cars are tested? Millions of miles have to be driven by autonomous cars before they are certified for road usage. As real-world vehicle testing is not enough to model the wide-ranging scenarios of autonomous vehicles, companies resort to Simulation Testing during the vehicle development phase. Simulation Testing is increasingly gaining attention because of its low-cost, high safety, corner-case testing abilities, and overall increased testing efficiency.
In our upcoming Meetup 2 guest speakers will give insights into some real-world projects that are applying machine learning to improve and scale simulation testing for autonomous driving.
Topic 1:
"Model based Generation of Scenarios for Testing Autonomous Driving Cars" - In this talk, an approach for automatically generated diverse scenarios for simulation testing of autonomous driving vehicles using high fidelity SVL simulator connected to Apollo software will be presented.
Vijesh Bhupathi, CGI Germany
Topic 2:
"how to test & validate features at scale" - Building a ML solution for autonomous driving companies in Europe - candid insights into technical and commercial challenges.
Cansin Demir, Phantasma Labs
