Düsseldorf Street Photography Meetup

We will meet in front of the Apollo Theater under the bridge. Every year we have a great time photographing Japan Day in Duesseldorf. A great festival of Cosplay with participants coming from all around Germany for a day of celebration. Great opportunities for character portraiture and finding rhythm inside the crowds for your unique style of photography. See you there!

The event is free of charge.

To get there, taking public transportation might be a good idea, since many people will search for parking lots, and it is not easy to get through Bonn by car. If you need to take the car, you park somewhere further away (P+R) and take the tramway to finally get to the Rheinaue. You may take line 63, 66, or 68 to the stop "Bonn Rheinaue".

Since it might be difficult to find the group with all those people at the festival, I suggest we meet at the tramway stop "Bonn Rheinaue" on the platform near the benches that are not far from the stairs. Look out for people with cameras. I will use the comment section to keep you updated.

Please note that the start of the balloons depends on the weather conditions. So if there is bad weather, it may happen that the festival is cancelled, in which case, this meetup event will be cancelled, too. Check the comment section of this event. Normally, at this time of the year, there should be no problem.

You will not be able to buy tickets at the museum, and if you wait, most likely the tickets will be gone. I have chosen the 10 am slot in the morning, hoping that there are more tickets left than if it were a slot during the day.

We meet at 09:30 am in the queue in front of the museum. Use the meetup app event chat to get in touch with me resp. the rest of the group. I recommend you arrive rather too early than too late. You can enter the museum only until 10:30 with the ticket. I really hope that many of you manage to get a ticket. Afterwards, please register for this event on meetup.com. Registration on meetup.com helps me to see who is coming. However, getting the ticket before is the important point.
We will stay in the exhibition for about 2 hours, then we will gather at the museum's café at 12:00, so that everyone can exchange with fellow participants.
