We have reached our funding goal for this year. Thanks for your donations! Next pledge drive will start by the end of the year.
This is supposed to be a funny, light-hearted comedy, based on the making of the french classic A bout de souffle. It's directed by Richard Linklater, who created the Before trilogy (starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy) and Boyhood (we saw that with Filmfreunde back in 2014). It is a movie that works both as a comedy for casual viewers and film nerds who love the French New Wave films.
This movie is in french. With german subtitles. So think twice if you understand neither of these.
We will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the foyer of the Brotfabrik. We will enter the screening room by 7:45 p.m. at the latest. The film will begin at 8 p.m. Runtime is 106 minutes.
You can't buy tickets online yet. I will buy the ticket at the venue on the day of the event anyway, as they are no seat reservations, and it's unlikely to sell out.
After that, we can go for a drink in Brotfabrik. I will bring a photography book with pictures by Raymond Cauchetier for browsing, with lots of photos from that era. You will be amazed how the film manages to authentically capture that era of film-making. And I think Cauchetier is also a character in the film.
