🚀 TALKS

1️⃣ The Angular Language Server Inside Out, Jan-Niklas Wortmann, JetBrains (remote)

Dive into the Angular Language Server, the backbone of your IDE experience, to uncover how it powers the features we rely on every day. This talk will explore its architecture and the real-world application of its capabilities, equipping you with the knowledge to troubleshoot IDE quirks effectively. Through a mix of in-depth analysis and practical insights, attendees will learn not just when to restart the language server but how understanding its workings can streamline their Angular development workflow.

2️⃣ Spice Up Your API With Thymian, Matthias Keckl, qupaya

Nowadays, almost every application speaks HTTP and depends on mission-critical APIs. Documentations and specifications such as OpenAPI support developers in implementing the communication between client and backend, whether REST, GraphQL, or WebSockets. But how can we ensure our API incorporates international standards, supports best practices, and follows company-wide API guidelines? And can we automatically test our specifications against implementation? Yes, we can. Thymian is a flexible and customizable linter that checks static API specifications against recommended and custom rules. Its flexibility allows you to tailor the validation process to your specific needs, and its customizability enables you to create rules that align with your company-wide API guidelines. Thymian also validates the actual request against your real implementation, ensuring your API adheres to international standards and best practices.

3️⃣ Introduction to Web3 frontend development, Ulrike Exner, IAV
The talk centers on Web3 frontend development, exploring how decentralized apps (dApps) are transforming traditional web experiences. It highlights the shift from Web 2.0 to Web3, with a focus on how frontends interact with blockchain technology and smart contracts. The discussion includes the key JavaScript tools and frameworks used to build dApps, best practices for authentication, data handling, and user experience, and the unique challenges of working with decentralized systems. The goal is to offer a practical overview of Web3 frontend development, emphasizing how to create secure, user-friendly dApps that make the most of this still rather new technology.

4️⃣ Can I access that? Demystifying authorization, Juan Cruz Martinez, Okta

When building control checks for our applications we normally think of roles, permissions and a lot of IF statements, but did you know there are other authorizations methods? Authorization plays a critical role in the security of your app, let's get it right!
