This is a group for anyone interested in hiking. The idea is not to make it a big sport event. Sorry, you won't find here bungee jumping, rock climbing or other adrenaline-packed things. It's more about enjoy nature, have a wine/beer or two and make some new friends. So a typical trip would be a two-hour hike to a beer garden and then two-hours back. Looking forward to explore the beauty of Frankfurt's nature with everybody.

A palace, more blossoms and special birds in a reed

We start in Assenheim and have a look at the palace. Then we hike along the Nidda on the stars route to Florstadt. There, we hike through orchards with apple blossoms and then to Reichelsheim. From there, we hike to Bingenheimer Ried, where we can see special water birds. If you have binoculars or a telephoto lens, bring them with you.

We meet in Fra Hbf at 10:25 at the beginning of platform 14 for RB37 departing at 10:33. A Deutschlandticket or RMV annual ticket is recommended, but you can also buy a single day ticket.

The distance is ca. 16 km, flat. Bring beverages & food for the way with you.

Disclaimer: The weather forecast is sunny, but take precaution for changing conditions. It is an outdoor activity and I can only estimate when we reach the destination. There will be photos taken by the organizer (and probably others) at nice spots. GDPR clause: By participating you agree to be on group and other photos where you are not the main motive.
