Über uns
Welcome to the UK meetup for Neo4j, the world's leading graph database. We think graph databases are the future of data storage, because it's so expressive to model interesting connected data in a graph and super fast to query too.
We host regular events at our office in Southwark where we cover a variety of topics in talk based and hands on sessions.
Whether you're new to the world of graph databases or if you're an experienced graphista, everyone's welcome to join us for a drink afterwards and we pick up the tab. It's a great opportunity to network (see, graphs are everywhere!), and also to put those burning questions to the Neo4j engineering team over a pint.

As always, this event will allow for insightful discussions on the latest in Graph Technology. This time we will hear sessions about GenAI for Front-End Developers with Langchain.js as well as converting large images to smaller more web-friendly formats.
Don't miss this opportunity to connect with fellow JavaScript enthusiasts and explore cutting-edge developments in JavaScript technology.
Agenda
18:00 - 18:30 Welcome/Snacks
18:30 - 19:00 Session 1: Lovell Fuller
19:00 - 19:30 Session 2: Adam Cowley
19:30 - 19:45 Q&A
19:45 Networking/Drinks
Session 1: High performance Node.js Image Processing - Lovell Fuller
From the history of art, through the worlds of fashion, sustainability and security, this talk details the story of sharp as it made its way into many of the popular JavaScript frameworks and tools we use today.
About Lovell:
Lovell is a freelance software developer based in London, coding since the 1990s and still learning, with experience across a wide range of industries. https://lovell.info/
Session 2: Generative AI for Front-end Developers - Adam Cowley, Neo4j
Don’t let Python developers have all of the fun with LLMs.
This talk is a gentle introduction to Generative AI and Large Language Models for front-end developers looking to build intelligent chatbots and applications. We’ll dive into Langchain.js, an open-source orchestration framework for building AI Applications.
We will start by exploring the basics of Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), how they work, and cover some common pitfalls and how they can be avoided. We’ll take a closer look at vectors, retrievers, and how to build an agent capable of choosing tools to perform specific tasks.
About Adam:
Adam Cowley is a dedicated developer with a keen interest in data and graph databases. Serving as the Senior Developer Advocate at Neo4j, Adam produces educational content for GraphAcademy, Neo4j’s free, self-paced, online learning platform. His technical experience spans two decades, developing websites, mobile apps and mixed reality experiences for budding startups to the world’s biggest companies.
