6:00 PM - Doors open for social dancing
6:15 PM - 7:00 PM - Beginner 3 lesson
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Beginner 1 lesson
7:15 PM - 8:00 PM - Beginner 2 lesson
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Continuation lesson with Nicole
8:00 PM - 10:30 PM - Social dancing and practice
Costs:
5.00 for any one Beginner lesson and social dancing
10.00 for Continuation lesson and social dancing
$5.00 cover charge for no lesson, social dancing only
Please note: In order to participate in the Continuation lesson (our most advanced class) you must pass a short exam demonstrating your mastery of basics, to be administered by the visiting pro instructor.
New to West Coast Swing? Welcome! You're in good company. Start with the Beginner 1 class at 7 PM, and we'll help direct you to other classes as you gain experience. If you have questions or need help with anything, just ask the friendly check-in desk staff or find a Community Connector with a light-up band.
Private lessons with all regular instructors are available.

Give yourself enough time to check in, pay, and change shoes/get settled before your lesson starts. If you arrive more than fifteen minutes after the start of the lesson, you will not be allowed to participate in a lesson that evening. Joining late disrupts the instructor and forces everyone to help you catch up instead of focusing on the lesson they paid to receive.
You are welcome to dance with a single partner or to ask anyone you meet to dance. Don't be afraid to say "no thank you," and be respectful of others who say it to you. We want you to feel comfortable and have fun!
Be considerate of your fellow dancers as we all try to stay healthy. If you are feeling sick or have been exposed to Covid-19, please wait a few weeks before joining us. Masks are recommended, but not required.
Greenville Westies is the Greenville area West Coast Swing dance community. West Coast Swing is popular across all age groups and one of the big reasons is because of the music. What kind of music do you like? Top 40? We dance to that. Rock? Bring it on. Hip Hop? We dance to that, too. Blues? That’s part of our roots. West Coast Swing gives us the opportunity to dance to and enjoy great music, regardless of where it comes from.
Within Greenville Westies you’ll find brand new and experienced dancers, young people and seniors, and everyone in between. We truly welcome everyone! Please don’t let lack of experience – West Coast Swing or otherwise – hold you back. Bring your curiosity and enthusiasm and we’ll help you with the rest.
