AI is useful, impressive, inspiring, and… a little too creative. We’ve all seen moments when tools like ChatGPT make confident claims that turn out to be made up. In our first AI town-hall, we’ll explore together:
- What AI hallucinations actually are.
- Why do they happen in tools like ChatGPT and others?
Real-world consequences of hallucinations (across law, media, tech, healthcare, and academia) - How researchers and developers are working to reduce them
We’ll bring some conversation starters: stories, cases, and insights from different sectors, but we want you to come with your own experiences, questions, and curiosity. More than giving a long presentation, we are interested in addressing the issues you face right now.
First and foremost, bring an open mind. This is a space to ask questions, share concerns, and think together about how we can use AI more safely and responsibly.
