Besides being Memorial day it is also National Wine Day so let's raise a glass to sweet or dry, red or white, fizzy or flat loveliness!

How to Celebrate National Wine Day:

1. Well the obvious one right- have a glass of your favorite wine and drink to your health and happiness!

2. Take a wine tasting class or a winery tour to learn all about wine especially how it is made.

3. Get a winemaking kit and try your hand at making your own new favorite. There are also a lot of great recipes to make sangria which is just wine and fruit.

Who are we kidding? Every day has the potential to be a National Wine Day depending on how hard the day has been right?

Whatever that means ;-)

Come to the Romanian Summer Picnic. Especially now that Naperville has a Moldovan consulate, and Moldova and Romania were the same country for a while.

It starts at noon. Not sure how long it goes but probably until 8 pm or so. Look for updates as last year it was originally scheduled Saturday and changed to Sunday.

This is slightly south of the SE corner of Butterfield and Eola (Aurora). Parking is at the lot right at the SE corner.

No charge for admission. Food and drinks of course have a charge.

I am not sure what time I will get there. Probably about 1 pm.

How many of you feel like you run at 100 miles an hour all the time? This is a wonderful experience for those of us who are looking to slow down and learn how to reduce stress in our lives. The people there are very welcoming and willing to educate us on how to use meditation to reduce stress and help us focus on every day living.

"Join our meditation group every Sunday to nurture your commitment to practice. Each week, a topic related to meditation will be presented and followed by a guided meditation that will transition into 15 minutes of silence. At the end there will be an opportunity for interaction. Both beginners and seasoned practitioners are welcome to join."
