Über uns
A group for LGBTQ+ people who enjoy drinking craft beer and/or real ale with some good chat. Join us for a pint (or three)!
If beers aren't your thing, you're welcome to join us for your preferred tipple, however the venues are chosen to appeal to craft beer and real ale drinkers (most venues will have a wine alternative although not all will have other alternatives).
This group is intended to be a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ+ community to come together and socialise. Three main ground rules apply to joining and participating in this group:
-
Consent: when people drink alcohol inhibitions can be lowered. Harmless flirting is fine, however, consent is paramount. Do not make physical advances towards other members without their consent and understand that no means no.
-
Making the space trans friendly: there is a growing amount of ‘debate’ about trans rights even among members of the LGBTQ+ community. This space is trans and non-binary friendly and therefore no debate about people’s rights will be tolerated. This aims to be an inclusive group.
-
Discrimination: As a minority group we have a responsibility to protect and stand up for other minority rights. No discrimination such as racism, sexism, ableism is tolerated.

Alles ansehen- Northampton pub crawlNorthampton, Northampton
Although only 1 hour by train from London, this county town is little known. A centre of the leather & footwear industry since the 18th century (the musical Kinky Boots is partly set here), large quantities of iron ore were found and mined nearby in the 19th. The upshot was a prosperous market town with a respectable collection of handsome civic buildings, which – while on few people’s bucket list – is nevertheless worth a walk around.
Northampton has two sizeable breweries – one longstanding (Phipps NBC: https://www.phipps-nbc.co.uk/our-history), one new (Maule) – and a large number of microbreweries are based in the area, yet their beers are not widely known outside the region. This should make exploring the pubs and brewery taps of the city a rewarding afternoon.
Those wanting to join from the start of the crawl should catch the 10:56 from Euston, arriving Northampton 11:55. Return trains go half-hourly at 18 and 48 mins past the hour. An off-peak day return is £30.40 (railcards: £20.05).
