A razor-wielding psychopath is stalking the thriller writer Peter Neal (Anthony Franciosa, Death Wish II), in Rome to promote his latest work, Tenebrae. But the author isn't the obsessive killer's only target: the beautiful women who surround him are doomed as, one by one, they fall victim to the murderer's slashing blade.

Early 80's giallo from Italian master Dario Argento. The film was hugely controversial when originally released and ended up on the banned video nasties list in the UK. Probably not for the easily offended as it's still Argento's most violent film. Stylish as ever however with fluid, roving camera movements and a memorable, pulsating electronic soundtrack from Goblin. You will need to book your own ticket. Meet on the first floor.

A recent addition to the Criterion Collection, and the second part of Gregg Araki's so called Teenage Apocalypse trilogy. Araki's road trip to hell follows lovers Jordan (James Duvall) and Amy (Rose McGowan in a completely iconic and singular performance) as they pick up a drifter (Johnathan Schaech) who escalates every single situation they find themselves in. Similar to Natural Born Killers in some respects, though queer director Arraki has a more off kilter sensibility than Oliver Stone, and arguably better taste in music. His soundtracks always includes lots of British bands like The Cure, Slowdive and Cocteau Twins. You will need to book your own ticket. Meet in the upstairs bar. Running time is a brisk 85 minutes.

Our night now runs on the first Sunday of the month at the MiniCine, found within the incredible Ducie Street Warehouse, Manchester.

You can expect a wonderfully varied selection of short films, of which you vote for your favourite on the night. Have your questions asked by programmed filmmakers or our special guests*, all the while enjoying a wide selection of food & drinks from the bar.

Then to round off, we will share our Director's Choice, a slightly longer short, selected by our judging panel.

Tickets are only available online through our website, so please do not turn up without booking first.

Doors to the cinema are at 19:30 but feel free to arrive earlier and enjoy food and drink from the bar/restaurant. Screening start time and last entry at 20:00
