One of my favourite films of 2025, The Ballad of Wallis Island is January's screening at Prestwich Cinema:

"Charles (Tim Key), is an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favourite band back together. His fantasy turns into reality when the bandmates (Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden) accept his invitation to play a private show. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig."

Prestwich Cinema takes place at The Carlton Club, 5 mins walk from Heaton Park tram stop, and with limited street parking outside.
It's a small venue with limited seating and these monthly showings can get busy and sell out on the night, so I recommend getting there early for a good seat. Film starts 7.30pm. I'll be there from 7pm and will post contact details nearer the time.
