Bulgaria 🇧🇬 - Seven Rila lakes hike - Nature calls !

The most awaited trip - Seven Rila lakes hike in Bulgaria. The lakes are just amazing and the place we stay is unimaginable. We're going to stay in forest on top of mountains, eat local Bulgarian food, shower in waterfalls and many more. It’s a unique experience in life, want to know why ?

Trip Highlights

• We hike 7 Rila lakes
• Stay in huts on top of mountains (No network, Only Nature, Barbecue etc)
• Visit Sofia

Rough Itinerary

Travel dates: 11th Oct to 15th Oct

11th Oct

• 15:15 - Take flight to Sofia
• 18:30 - Reach Sofia
• 19:00 - Reach city center, check in hotel and stop for dinner in Sofia authentic restaurant.

12th Oct Exploring Sofia (Relax day or not a city lover ? Then go for a remote work :)) )

• 10:00 - After breakfast, interested people can go for a free city walk or we explore the city ourselves.
• 10:00 - 18:00 - City walk covering St George church, Cathedral, Synagogue and Vistosha
• Night we can go for dinner or hit some bars.

13th Oct - Head to our stay in Rila lakes

• 10:00 - After breakfast we start to Rila lakes (pack some food for hiking next day (fruits, bars, nuts etc)
• 11:30 - After we reach mountains, we need to hike at least 2 km uphill to reach our huts. (so we recommend not to carry suitcases)
• 14:00-20:00 - This place will heal your soul. It’s just nature, waterfalls. We will be exploring the mountain area till evening. Night we make a bonfire and chill (singing, dancing people are most welcome)

14th Oct (Hiking - total 16km - 700m uphill) or cable car

• 08:00 - Start to Seven Rila lakes(pack food)
• 10:00 - Reach Rila lakes
• 11:00 - We're going to start hike from base cable car station

Till evening, we're going to explore the seven rila lakes preserve, covering all 7 lakes. Weather might be a bit cold (snow)or rain, so get ready with your hiking gear (will be shared in whats app group )

• 17:00 - Return to Huts

15th Oct

• 10:00 - Start to Sofia
• 14:00 - Relax, eat something and off to airport

Important:

• We stay in local huts in the mountains, these are real huts (we stay in the wild) and will be only one washroom. If all stay in sharing dorms in these huts, if you want individual room, please let us know before. There won't be any Wi-Fi too :)

Estimated Cost to the trip:

• Flights - 130 Euro (early bird) choose the flights you want, if it's cheap you can also arrive next day

(Flights are the only expensive part, food , accommodation, local transport is cheap in Bulgaria)

• Accommodation - 50 euros/4 -Nights
• Local Transport /airport transfers - Car rental - 80 Euro (4 days) Approx. Depends on number of participants
• Organizing expense - 80 Euro
• Food extra & miscellaneous
