Welcome! Our Meetbytravel is aimed to bring you new adventures, experiences and let you explore nature, mountains, and new places within a limited budget.
The purpose of this group is to plan for trips that aren't just like formal tourist trips but to have a memorable one with friends, laughter and loads of fun.
This club is especially for the people who love traveling and trekking and likes to explore new things in life. Whether you are a solo traveler, a couple, or a small family and looking for trekking, hiking and travel around Europe, our travel meetups are exactly for you. Our trips are safe and secure.
But importantly, the only thing we ask from you is the 'SPIRIT'. Energy to stay young, adrenaline to try new things, and sensible to your co-travelers.
Since these trips are budget travels, we plan to travel well before, and we highly recommend reading the trip itinerary and check if it's really fit to you.
Disclaimer: These are guided tours but when we explore hiking paths, mountains you gonna on an adventure along with the organizer.
All events of Meetbytravel are non-profitable. But organizers are allowed to charge for the expenses occurred. Each person who signs up for any event is responsible for their own safety. By signing up for an event, the member acknowledges that they are aware and have made their guests aware of the risks, dangers and hazards associated with any outdoor activity and freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards, and further agree to release and discharge the organizer of the event from and against any and all liability arising from their and their guest's participation in the group activities.

Itinerary:
Thu 27th of June:
- 07:00 - Take a flight to Belgrade (There are 2 options, flight with AirSerbia departing at 07:00 from Berlin and WizzAir departing at 08:35 from Berlin). The flight to Belgrade takes ~1:30h
- 11:00 Take the shuttle to Foča (Bosnia) which takes 7hrs
- We make a short break in the city of Višegrad.
- The town includes the Ottoman-era Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site built in the 16th century.
- We may take a 30-minute boat ride and see this magnificent bridge from all sides.
- 19:00 - Reach the camp in Bastasi (Bosnia), check-in and have dinner in the camp restaurant
Fri 28th of June:
Waking up at 9 am. Breakfast. Distribution of rafting gear (boots, life vests, and helmets), and departure for Brštenovica – rafting starting point. Rafting for 22km in the most attractive parts of Tara (16km) and Drina (6km). The descent ends near the camp, where a traditional lunch is served. Sat 29th of June:
Breakfast
Challenging mountain hike to the highest summit of Bosnia and Herzegovina (2386). We start the hike at 1650m. It is a meadow and is filled with flowers in the summer, but soon gives way to scree, a slope covered with small and large rock debris. After some two and a half hours you reach the summit (2386m). After the summit, we hike to the heart-shaped Trnovacko lake where we make a break for lunch. The rest of the route seems like a walk in the park full of flowers. The route is a circle so we end at the starting position. At some point, we will have the opportunity to see one of the last primeval forests in Europe.

Sun 30ty of June:
Breakfast, check out, and trip back to Belgrade. Check in the accommodation. Exploring the city, if possible and depending on the interests possible visit to Museum of Yugoslavia, Museum of Nikola Tesla or just walk through the city center. Traditional dinner in the Belgrade bohemian quarter.Mon 1st of July:
Early morning (7 am) flight to Berlin.Weather & Hiking gear: I can't predict the weather now but tempt should be at least 20 degrees. You need a proper waterproof hiking shoe, warm clothes, rain clothes and hiking poles. I can’t say now if it’s going to be rainy 🌧️ or sunny 🌞 but we just go hiking.

- Rafting + Hiking (including accommodation, 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners, and 2 lunches) + professional rafting equipment and professional guides for both rafting and hiking + travel costs Belgrade - Foča - Belgrade
- 280€ for an arrangement with accommodation in standard bungalows
- 300 € for the arrangement of accommodation with a private bathroom
- Accommodation in Belgrade 30-40€ (one night)
- Organizing expense - 80 Euro
