About Marc:
Session 2: "Secure AI Agents on Azure: Agent Identity & Governance Insights" by Dr. Alexander Wachtel
This session shows how to run AI agents on Azure not just functionally, but securely and with full governance. The focus is on Azure AI Agent Identity, treating agents as first‑class identities in Microsoft Entra ID - from blueprints and roles to policies and access patterns. In a two‑part demo, the speaker covers how agents appear in Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI Foundry, and how they use identities to call tools and access data, as well as how Azure Identity, agent identity blueprints, RBAC, policies, and governance enforce least privilege, auditability, and lifecycle control. Optionally, the session closes with a short look at Agent 365 for enterprise agent governance and Microsoft Purview insights into conversations and data usage for transparency and compliance.
