This is a 2-day introduction to mountaineering in the canton of Valais. We will be hiking up to Tracuit Hut SAC and stay one night there.
The hut lies at a height of 3’256m above sea level, at the Tracuit Pass, between Les Diablons and the Tête de Milon in the Pennine Alps.
If you are a fit hiker and would like to try mountaineering and go up to 4000m+, this is for you!This trip is led by Guy-Robert May, international mountain guide.

Day 1
We meet in Zinal in the morning, hike up to Tracuit Hut SAC and do some briefing and exercises for day 2. Night at the hut.

Our home for the weekend
The Berghaus Klondike, our very own private 300 year-old Swiss mountain chalet which retains its original character, with exposed wooden beams and original flair, but with a modern kitchen and bathrooms, 2 large living and dining rooms, a large permaculture garden and a mushroom farm, garden, and fire pit! The cozy vibes are everywhere and the evenings are for stargazing around the fire pit in the company of an amazing group.Our mornings
We’ll rise with the sun to an energizing morning Vinyasa Yoga practice and welcome the day (yes! these are our sun salutations). Afterward, we get to enjoy hearty and healthy breakfasts.Our food
Food will be vegetarian & delicious, and a chance to delight in gathering around the table to enjoy our meals showered with a healthy dose of laughs.Day-hikes
After breakfast, we’ll head out to explore the amazing mountains of Engelberg. We’ll have picnic lunches with amazing panoramas!Saturday Hike (29 June): Brunnihuette - Bannalpsee
- Taxi from Klondike to Engelberg, and cable car / chair lift to Brunnihütte
- Two options depending on the group:
- Via Engelberger Rotstock without the summit (5.5h walk - 900m ascent - 1000m descent)
- Via Walenpfad (4h walk - 500m ascent - 600m descent)
- Cable car from Bannalpsee to Fellboden and taxi to Klondike
Sunday Hike (30 June): Lutersee
- Walk or drive from Klondike to Mettlen and cable car to Eggen
- Hike to Lutersee via the high route and Storeggpass on the way there, and on the lower trail on the way back
- Cable car back to Mettlen and departure (possibility to leave bags in a car in the morning and to get them back in Mettlen after the hike)
Yoga sessions
In addition to the 2 morning Vinyasa flows, Saturday afternoon is also set aside for a restorative yoga practice to explore the deep relaxation benefits of Yin Yoga asanas & pranayama breathing exercises.Requirements
To join this event, you do not need to have previous yoga and hiking experience. These are adapted to all levels. Hikes will also be adapted to the level of the group.Insurance

Join Ubaldo at a designated meeting point in Ticino on Saturday morning. From there, we will head to the crag and refresh the techniques learned in course 2, enjoy some climbing and acquire more advanced skills.After a fulfilling day of climbing, we'll extend our stay in Ticino, enjoying the evening with good conversations, a nice Italian dinner, and perhaps some wine.
After breakfast on Sunday, we will continue to explore the area by heading to another crag and practice the skills we learned on Saturday. After a second full day of climbing, we will head back to the train station to get back home, eager for future adventures

Escape and explore the high Atlas Mountains of Morocco, famous for their breathtaking views, welcoming people and diverse landscapes. The highlight of this 6-day hiking trip is the ascent to the peak of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in the country at 4'167 m.
In addition to the mountain expedition, you will experience the rich culture of Morocco, staying at a Riad, hiking with a local guide, eating traditional cuisine, exploring souks…
This trip is led by David Norris, international mountain leader. The Toubkal ascent will be led by a local guide as well as David.
What's the plan?
Here is our detailed itinerary:Day 1: Saturday 14 December
David will meet you at the airport in Marrakech. Transfer to Imlil where you will be spending the night.Day 2: Sunday 15 December
After a delicious Moroccan breakfast, you will explore the area with a day hike around Imlil. We'll also fit crampons and check everyone's gear in preparation for the ascent of the summit.Nestled in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Imlil (1’750 m) is the picturesque gateway to stunning natural beauty. You’ll get the chance to enjoy the lush greenery, terraced fields, and traditional Berber dwellings surrounding this charming village. We’ll spend the night in a simple, family-ran, village accommodation in Imlil, with local delicious food and hot showers. Twin and triple rooms are available in this cosy place.
Day 3: Monday 16 December
After breakfast at the lodge, you will meet your local guide and start the trek to Toubkal Refuge starting along the Ait Mizane Valley towards the village traditional village of Aremd. Lunch will be taken over the spectacular views of the Atlas mountain range.Overnight stay at the Toubkal Refuge (3’206 m).
Day 4: Tuesday 17 December
Very early start from the refuge to ascend Mount Toubkal. Upon reaching the peak at 4’167 m, you'll be rewarded with gorgeous views spanning from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north and extending southward to the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara.You'll descend back down the hill to the refuge after enjoying the amazing sights. You will then return to Imlil where you’ll spend the night.
Day 5: Wednesday 18 December
Transfer from Imlil to Marrakech where you’ll spend the night in a Riad - a traditional Moroccan guesthouse located in the historic medina (city). Spend the day and night experiencing the authentic Moroccan culture as you explore the colourful and busy souk (markets) in this buzzing city. And of course, the chance to taste the yummy local cuisines!Day 6: Thursday 19 December
Departure day. We say goodbye at the Riad in Marrakech.Requirements

The price for this event is CHF 950.
