• Technique: Classic and skating
• Ski hire: No

This week we'll drive to Tannheimer Tal, a wide, flat and sunny valley in the Tyrol. Our visit coincides with the Tannheimer Tal Hot Air Balloon Festival, which will provide a colourful backdrop.

We car-share this week. Driving time is just under 2 hours. We currently have 2 cars; if you are able to drive, please let me know! Expect to make a contribution to fuel costs.

I don't have a fixed route in mind, other than skiing up and down the valley and past the balloons. There are plenty of trails here, so you can ski more or less if you prefer. We'll have a late lunch at the end after skiing.

Note that the balloons won't take off if it's too windy, but the forecast looks OK from my non-expert perspective.

Also note that the Stammstrecke is closed as usual this weekend. If you get to Hbf there's an S1 at 8.22 (platform 35) or the BRB/BOB at 8.29 (platform 29) that will take you to the meeting point at Donnersbergerbrücke.
