Kubernetes-aaS: Developing and deploying SCS Cluster Stacks

The SCS Cluster Stacks provide a framework for building and managing Kubernetes-as-a-Service offerings. This framework addresses both cluster operations and cluster management, significantly reducing the operational workload by automating the creation, updating, and delivery of ready-to-use clusters.

By utilizing the Kubernetes Cluster API, SCS Cluster Stacks are compatible with any infrastructure supported by the Cluster API. We will explain the rationale behind developing the framework and demonstrate its use on OpenStack for creating and updating clusters. We will discuss different use cases of Cluster Stacks, e.g. as the base for an internal Kubernetes platform or for a commercial Kubernetes offering.
