Neural Search with Jina AI [online workshop]

Hi PyLadies Berlin! In this event, we will explore something new and exciting in the search space: Jina - an easier way to build neural search in the cloud 🔎

🔊 Introduction to Neural Search with Jina

• We’re going to go over the basics of what neural search is and how it works. We’ll see an overview of the JinaAI ecosystem and how to use it to build your own search application.
  On the practical side, we will use DocArray to create an image search application
• We will also talk about how you can get started contributing to Jina as an open-source project

🎚️This workshop is aimed at folks with existing programming and python experience. We still encourage everyone interested in the workshop to join and will try our best to support you along the way.

🚨 Before the Workshop:

[ ] Install Python 3.7, NumPy, and DocArray

👩‍💻 Speaker: Susana Guzman, a Product Manager at Jina AI. Susana’s curiosity has always fuelled her, from solving complicated technical tasks at school to tackling AI challenges in business. She has been fascinated by AI from a young age and she followed her passion all the way to the University of Bremen, where she graduated with a degree in Media Informatics.

Her interest in business and product development led her to take a position as Product Manager at Jina AI, where Susana together with Jina AI’s team created a whole new way to search.

As an active proponent of digital democratization, Susana’s ultimate goal is to show that everyone is equal in open source communities.
