Über uns
PyLadies Boston is a part of an international mentorship group for underrepresented genders in the Python community such as, but not limited to, women, trans people, and non-binary people. We welcome Python enthusiasts, developers, and programmers of all coding proficiency levels in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area and throughout New England.
Python is an amazing first programming language if you are interested in learning or just starting out. Our mission is to empower more women and nonbinary folks to code and contribute to the open source community. Please join us at our meetups!
We strive to be a welcoming and safe environment for all attendees, and we ask all attendees to treat others respectfully. We take the PyLadies Code of Conduct very seriously, and the full version can be accessed at the provided link. If you experience any potential violations to the code of conduct during any of our meetup events or in any PyLadies Boston forum or platform, please report the incident to the organizers.

Git Beyond Pull and Push
Are you comfortable with basic Git workflows like pull and push, but still feel like Git is a bit of a black box?
In this talk, we’ll look inside the .git directory to understand what Git actually tracks and how it works under the hood. We’ll also cover questions such as merge vs. rebase, undoing things, stashing work in progress, recovering lost work, and resolving situations like a detached HEAD.
By the end, you’ll have a clearer mental model of Git and feel more confident fixing things when they go wrong.

Welcome our monthly Grab a Byte virtual lunch series! We take the time to share something we have learned in a casual setting. We take turns presenting something that is Python-related and of interest to our community. We are especially excited to encourage those who are new to giving presentations. This year, we are meeting on the second Friday of the month at noon, though we adjust as needed. Looking forward to seeing you!
