Micah Ministry serves hundreds of people each Monday evening from 5:15-7:15. Come join us in helping our less fortunate neighbors.
Volunteers will help greet the guests, serve food, offer beverages, fill clothing requests and litter control.
We are now serving indoors, so please enter the red door in the parking lot behind the large church building, go down the steps and into the open area, where you will find Kay and Morgan.
There is a small parking lot across the street to the east, or street parking. Please leave valuable at home.
Age restrictions: Since only basic screenings are done for those we help, and in order to keep volunteers safe, those age 12-15 may work alongside an adult, those 16 and older may work solo.

Space has been reserved for us from 6 to 8 PM at their warehouse location at 3801 Topping Avenue. We will be working in a warehouse sorting food donations so please dress casual and no open-toed shoes are allowed inside. This is vigorous work centered on teamwork.

Masks are optional but recommended for unvaccinated volunteers.

** Please be firm with your commitment when you RSVP. Harvesters plans the work based upon the number of people we tell them we have going. If your plans change we understand, just please change your RSVP so someone else can signup. **

Please check in at the front desk when you arrive, then join us in the volunteer lounge. There will be someone on staff at the facility to show/instruct us on what they need done for that day.

Children ages 12 and older are welcome to attend provided they are accompanied by an adult. Please share this opportunity with your family, friends, and coworkers! You are allowed to bring up to 2 guests.

This is a great way to give back to the community as Harvesters is the area's only food bank. Their network includes over 620 nonprofit agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes, etc. http://harvesters.org. Harvesters will always accept any food donations too so bring them with you when you come. Thanks for considering this opportunity to Serve Kansas City!

Serve KC provides a lunch for families and staff to allow them to spend more time with their loved ones. KC Hospice provides a home-type atmosphere and a place of dignity for those who are facing advanced illness or are approaching the end of life.
