Due to popular demand, we're bringing back online SUAW sessions - let's see if we have enough people who are interested to keep this running :)

Join us for an hour (or two) of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers.

Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE (roughly):

10:00-10:15ish - SESSION 1: chat & intros.
10:15-11:15 - timer starts: write for 1 hour.
11:15-11:30 - chat / take off / keep writing for another timed hour (starting at ~11:30).

OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens after we're done with the first/second writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

What Should I Bring?
Whatever you need to be able to write!

What Should I Bring?
Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.
Unfortunately, there are usually no sockets handy, make sure to charge your laptops before you come. :)

11:30 to 12:30: Session 2 - Write for 1 hour.
12:30: Finish

(Should you need to leave earlier, this is of course perfectly fine, please just make sure not to disturb the other participants.)

Please also note that during the writing sessions, we would ask that you remain quiet, so you don't disturb your fellow writers.

Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Also there are no sockets to charge your device and we do not have any power banks available, so please make sure, your devices are charged.

Other Important Details:
Please thank the Café by purchasing something. We do take up a table for quite some time and we want it to be to their benefit as well as ours.
Also we will not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or any other form of discrimination and you will be asked to leave if you disregard our commitment to respect, inclusivity, and safety for all.
