Atomic English - daily English sessions online
Hello, I'm Alex, an English teacher from London.
Atomic English is based on the idea that doing something tiny for your English every single weekday is the fastest way to get brilliant, fluent English.
- live sessions 10am - every weekday
- daily vocabulary quiz
- daily feedback and corrections on your speaking
- £50 month pass
https://www.englishwithalex.online/atomic-english
Learn new phrases, get corrections, build your confidence using tricky structures…every day.
The idea came from my own frustrations of learning languages (I study Italian and Portuguese).
"I’ll study for 2 hours tomorrow", I say to myself. When tomorrow comes I do nothing. I think it’s because I build up huge expectations in my mind and then feel overwhelmed by the thought of a 2 hour study session. If only I had lowered my expectations and committed to 30 minutes a day, I’d be fluent by now!
I see similar patterns with my students so that’s why I started Atomic English.
- you’ll build your vocabulary
- eliminate your mistakes
- get confidence
... every day (or at least as often as you can make it). These tiny, Atomic English will transform your English.
It’s £50 for a month pass there are sessions everday

Thursday morning online Kirtan with Nikki Slade
This is an invitation to open your heart and connect to your vocal power through the yoga of sound. Kirtan (chanting) does for your insides what a yoga asana class does for your physical body. It is the perfect way to dissolve blockages and stress through the vibrations of the sound.
Kirtan is a universal practice that belongs to everyone and is as relevant today as it originally was centuries ago. We will chant together in call and response accompanied by harmonium and drum. The overall experience is like a meditation with voice. You don’t have to sing – your voice is the instrument for you to connect to your inner power. Most importantly expect to have fun! You will leave feeling free, energized, uplifted and joyful for the week ahead.
Nikki will be holding weekly Online sessions for the next few weeks to help us maintain a healthy mind and positive outlook through these challenging times.
How does this work? The sessions will be happening every Thursday via the Zoom online platform.
Once you book, you will receive and email message from hanna@nikkislade.com or pa@freetheinnervoice.com with an invitation from these addresses (look in your spam folders!) with a link that you can simply click to open the zoom meeting directly from your computer, tablet or mobile device. No need to download any programmes or software. You will need to download the Zoom app only if you are connecting via mobile or tablet.

Greetings, fellow writer.
Do you seek to someday have a short story published in a literary magazine? Do you dream of finally finishing that novel that’s been living in the back of your head for the past few years now?
Congratulations, because you’ve found what you’ve been looking for, and it won’t cost you a dime. We’re The Critiquery, an online home for writers who want to have live discussions of submitted work. Instead of a giant, impersonal critique forum, we offer weekly workshops of no more than 15 people where you can ask specific questions and get specific answers. All workshops are held over ZOOM so you can participate from anywhere in the world.
We’re open to any narrative prose, fiction or nonfiction. Learn how to receive and give the feedback that is so essential to the success of any author. Whether it’s the first step in your literary journey or the thousandth, take the next one with our trained facilitators and dedicated community of writers.
For more information on The Critiquery, please visit our website - thecritiquery.com.
We look forward to seeing you!
Quite Write: Writing Night!
NOTE: This is an online event for the time being! Stay safe, everyone.
We start off chatting about our work, including setting goals for ourselves (which is entirely optional but super helpful!), and then we write. That's what it's all about. As simple as the idea is, it's amazing how much more you can get done simply by being in the presence of other writers at work. The baked goods don't hurt, either.
There is power for laptops, and some of us use pen and paper. Your choice! And, although we are not a discussion group, there are many areas where people can go if they want to talk without being disruptive.
KARAOKE NIGHT!
Come join us for a night of karaoke! Bring your singing voices and dancing feet! It’s always a blast!

Shut Up & Write!® East Side Columbus
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 22 at Streetlight Guild.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
**SCHEDULE:**
6:45ish - Quick introductions
7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour
8:00 - The End
**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
**BEING LATE IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled! If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing & I look forward to seeing you at Streetlight Guild!

Whatever you need to be able to write! You're welcome to bring earplugs/headphones if noise will bother you!
**OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:**

* **COVID:** While masks are not required, please be mindful of the other writers around you and their comfort levels.
* **WIFI/OUTLETS:** Outlets are limited, so please ensure your devices are charged when you come! But Streetlight Guild does have free WiFi! Yay!
