The AWS Architecture Storybook: Build Your First Business on the Cloud
The AWS Architecture Storybook: Build Your First Business on the Cloud
Are you new to the tech world? Does "The Cloud" sound like a confusing mystery? Join the **AWS User Group Addis Ababa** for a session designed specifically for **absolute beginners**. We are stripping away the jargon and the complex code to show you how the cloud actually works using simple, real-world stories. **In this session, you will learn:** ✅ **AWS by Analogy:** Why an S3 bucket is like a storage room and a Lambda function is like a barista. ✅ **Meet Your AI Tutor:** Discover **Kiro**, an agentic IDE that lets you build on AWS using plain English. No coding experience? No problem. ✅ **The Architecture Map:** Learn how to "draw" your first app before you ever write a line of code. **Who should attend?** If you have never used AWS, or if you've tried and felt overwhelmed, this event is for you. We are building a community where everyone—from students to non-tech founders—can master the cloud. Come with questions, leave with your first architecture plan. See you there!

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!

Welcome, readers! Our April read is **_Martyr!_ by Kaveh Akbar.** The story follows a young Iranian American poet grappling with grief, addiction, and the aching question of what makes a life meaningful. Drawn into an unexpected friendship with a terminally ill artist, he begins to confront faith, love, and the seduction of self-destruction. Lyrical, darkly funny, and emotionally piercing, the novel wrestles with beauty and despair in equal measure. It’s a story about longing—to be seen, to be forgiven, and to matter. Looking forward to discussing with everyone! We will meet at Zaftig Brewing Co in their event room in the back. We are welcome to bring in our own food, but **drinks must be purchased at the bar.** Happy reading! 📖
