Hi All, Come and join us for social running and a coffee! We meet at the main gate of Vystaviste - tram stop Vystaviste Holesovice. We will run in Stromovka. Usually we run around 50mins and it is up to everyone how many kilometres. We welcome all levels of runner. We can all run together or, if there is more of us, we can split into groups and at the end of the run we all meet close to the starting point to go for a coffee to a nice local coffee place (where they also sell cakes and great chocolate). If the weather is great, we can also just sit in one of the outside coffee placces in Stromovka and enjoy the sun. Let’s be one of the first walkers crossing the Vltava on the brand new **Dvorecký bridge** connecting Podolí and Smíchov. Thanks to this new river crossing, we can walk a very interesting, previously impossible route between the Pankrác plain and the Dívčí hrady plateau. The route is packed with many places of interest and fantastic views of Prague from both river banks! We will admire up close the modern high rise buildings at Pankrác as well as hike across a steppe with wild horses. DIFFICULTY: Medium Around 9 km/6 miles, on paved streets and unpaved trails. In total about 150 meters / 500 ft of elevation gain. Rated “medium” because of a steep footpath up to Dívčí hrady. The rest is “easy to medium”. MEETING POINT We will meet at **10:00** on a small plaza in front of the main entrance to the Arkády Pankrác Shopping Centre. This month we bring you a seminar from the host of Prague's famous Cafe Philo, Albert Hoffman, entitled **“Paths in the Wood”**. In this seminar, we'll be exploring **the later writings of Martin Heidegger** where he explores **our relationship to time, connection to place, and the very question of what it means to exist**. The relationship between Heidegger and the Black Forest in south-western Germany, the landscape in which he produced many of his most famous works, was one of intense emotional and intellectual intimacy. From the small, three-room cabin–which he affectionately called "die Hütte”-- **the forest becomes a strong metaphor for a way of thinking that moves more slowly and attentively than the technological mindset of modernity.** Heidegger’s later philosophy shifts away from the technical language of Being and Time toward a more meditative style of thinking. **What does it mean to “dwell”? Why does Heidegger so often write about forests, paths, clearings, and huts? And what might these metaphors reveal about his critique of modern technological society?** Whether you are new to Heidegger or already familiar with his work, join us for a discussion of how philosophy can help us reconsider our relationship to nature, place, and the way we inhabit the world. \*\*\* We’ll have tea and light snacks, but please feel free to bring any drink or snack you’d like to share! Let's play badminton at Sports Centre Olšanka. We'll meet at 10.40 and play for 60 minutes. If you have a Multisport card please bring it along, as it will make the court free for you and also reduce the cost for others. If you don't have a Multisport card the game will cost you a maximum of 150 crowns, probably much less. I will cover the cost of the court so please bring cash to pay me. **Comedy Night + Open Mic + Freestyle**: Tristan Shae and friends return to entertain us and to warm the group up for our open mic session. February's Open Mic / Comedy Night was a smash hit and it's worth a second night. We'll start with Tristan Shae and a couple of his friends. Tristan is an alternative comic from Columbus, Ohio. A counselor by day, Tristan explores how comedy can improve mental health by telling jokes and stories that muse on how absurd life can be from squeaky clean topics to not so clean ones. Tristan produces the variety show Cheaper Than Therapy, hosts the weekly Problem Child Alt Comedy Open Mic at The Attic, and can be found engaging in all sorts of silliness around the city from stand up shows at The Nest Theater, The Attic, or The Funny Bone, to improv and sketch shows with various groups at various venues such as The Hashtag Comedy Club. **On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\.
