Kickoff day!
Update (04/03/2026): I am changing our groups meeting location. After calling the Austin/Pflugerville parks and recreation department, and then being forwarded to the athletic facility director, our previous location will not work. I went the past two weeks and by 4:30/5:00 (its a first come, first serve situation) there are already dozens of people playing a mix of soccer ball/volleyball. Please see the new location listed below.
Hello, my name is Sylas Brock Jones and I want to invite YOU to come out to this event. Everyone 18+ is welcome here (yes, even if you're 40, 50, 60, 70+ years), You don’t need to be fast, athletic, or in any particular shape. Ultimate frisbee is great for everyone because even with walking you will be "open" and get thrown the frisbee during the game.
If you’re feeling nervous or unsure, that’s totally normal, and you’ll fit right in. Simply bring a refillable water bottle of some sort and come exactly as you are :) Also, you may want to bring a lawn chair to sit down during our water/rest breaks.
With the original post I wasn't sure how many participants we would have. Yet, I now know we will have a solid 10+ people at a minimum (I have some people coming who are not on Meetup). This will be perfect for us to have a nice small game of ultimate frisbee!
Realistically, I imagine we will be casually throwing the frisbee or kicking the soccer/kickball until \~6:00 as we wait for enough people (8 to 10) to get a game going. It starts at 5:30 but people have jobs that end at 5 and need to go home let their dog out, etc.
If you're interested please register (and join the group!), you're also free to text me @ 512-599-0032 if you have any questions or simply want to say hi and introduce yourself.
The group limits us to 10 people signing up. If the spots are "filled" that does not mean anything, just show up and look for us out there.
Trades Together: A Mastermind for Construction Business Owners
**Trades Together** is not your typical networking event. This is a curated, construction-focused mastermind designed specifically for owners and decision-makers in the trades and the businesses that support them. Each meeting is structured, intentional, and centered on real conversations about growth, leadership, systems, and scaling—not awkward pitches or passing business cards.
Join us for a dynamic discussion with other driven owners who understand the challenges of running a trades business and are committed to helping each other win. Expect meaningful connections, practical insights you can apply immediately, and a room full of people who actually show up to contribute. Guests are welcome to attend and experience what makes Trades Together different.
Computer Lab
Peers in recovery who need to use a Wifi connection, a printer, or a desktop computer are welcome at the Communities for Recovery center between 1 and 4 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Our computer lab is ready to offer you online access to whatever you need to take the next step in your recovery journey!
Wells Branch Trail
Let's hike Wells Branch Trail and walk for 1.5 hours for a total of 4.3 miles. This greenbelt trail is a well-maintained, mostly flat gravel path -- no hiking boots required, but do use your best judgment. Along the way, we’ll pass through several underground tunnels and cross a couple of streets without dedicated pedestrian lights, so we’ll pause to regroup and cross safely together. The trail is mostly shaded and passes through several parks, some with path lighting. Please bring at least 2 liters of water and a flashlight. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the trail!
Here is some more info located below:

If you need to contact me, my phone number is 281-876-7746.
Please note this event is also posted on [Hiking, Walking and Socializing](https://www.meetup.com/hiking-walking-and-socializing/).
We’ll meet at the Lake of Wells Branch sign on Mallard Green Ln -- there’s plenty of street parking available at that spot. If your GPS routes you to Mills Pond park entrance instead, there’s a small parking lot there with limited spaces. It’s just a short walk from the Lake of Wells Branch meeting point, so feel free to park there if that’s more convenient.
NOTE: In the event of bad weather, I will issue a cancellation notice at least one hour prior to the event's start time.
Please note meetup has had a massive increase in price and has nearly doubled the fee to organize clubs. If you like the club and want to donate, you can pay Kevin by Venmo [here](https://venmo.com/u/Kevin-Coe-9).
Finally, we recommend that you review information on the trail and that you come prepared for the hike (e.g., bring at least two liters of water, wear appropriate footwear such as hiking boots, and a brimmed hat.) All attendees are solely responsible for their own health and safety.
By RSVPing for this event, you are agreeing that you are taking sole responsibility for your own health and safety and, if any, your guests' health and safety. If you or your guests are not willing or are unable to take responsibility for your own health and safety, do not RSVP for this event.

Confidence & Connection: Using Your Authentic Truth to Find Your People
**Confidence & Connection: Using Your Authentic Truth to Find Your People**
Confidence isn’t just about believing in yourself, it’s about knowing where you belong and who you can grow alongside.
In this April Confidence Lab Happy Hour, we’ll explore how living in your authentic truth helps you find your people, build meaningful collaborations, and create spaces where vulnerability is met with respect rather than risk. Together, we’ll reflect on what it looks like to advocate for yourself with clarity and care, and how confidence deepens when it’s rooted in connection rather than comparison.
Featured speaker **Lachandra Baker**, founder of **[LBB Edutainment](https://www.lbbedutainment.com/)** and author of *Your Own Biggest Cheerleader*, will share reflections on authenticity, psychological safety, and the power of community over individual achievement. Drawing from personal stories—including the significance of turning 53—Lachandra will invite us into a conversation about showing up fully, being seen, and choosing relationships that support who you truly are.
Expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere with space for reflection, shared insight, and intentional connection—plus drinks, light bites, and the kind of conversations that remind you you’re not meant to do this alone.
Come as you are. Leave feeling clearer about your voice, your people, and the confidence that grows when both are aligned.
**What is Confidence Lab?**
Confidence Lab is a monthly community experience for bold, thoughtful leaders building confidence from the inside out. Whether you’re launching a business, leading a team, navigating change, or simply striving to show up more fully—you belong here.
Our work demands clarity, courage, and conviction—but the pace of daily life can erode our sense of self. Confidence Lab creates space to reflect, reconnect, and grow with others doing purpose-driven work.
It’s designed for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, creatives, corporate professionals, activists, and anyone ready to lead with authenticity and impact.
***Please note:*** *All are welcome! If cost is a concern, please use promo code PUBLIC to access a free ticket—we want you to join us.*
