At this meetup we will discuss a documentary about the human microbiome and how it affects our health. The microbiome — the community of bacteria living in our gut — plays an important role in digestion, immunity, metabolism, and even mood. Together we will reflect on ideas presented in the film and discuss questions such as: • What is the microbiome and why is it important? • How does food influence gut bacteria? • What foods support a healthier microbiome? • How do processed foods affect our body? • What are fermented foods and probiotics? • How can we gradually improve our eating habits? This is a friendly discussion — not a lecture. Everyone is welcome to share thoughts and experiences. Participants can watch the documentary beforehand. Join us for one of our final morning hikes of the season! The Ghadira Loop is a captivating journey through the natural beauty and historic fortifications of Northern Malta. We’ll explore a diverse landscape ranging from lush reserves to rugged cliffside paths with some of the most iconic views on the island. This is a beginner-friendly walk led by an experienced guide.
