Come draw with us at our monthly meeting at Gong Cha (RR 620 location). This is a casual drawing meetup for anyone who likes to create art/draw, no matter their experience level.

Make sure to come prepared with something to draw/illustrate with, which can include: tablets, paper and pencil, sketchbooks, notepads, paint (ex. watercolor), markers, colored pencils, etc. There is no theme; just come out and have fun! While at the event, it is *not* mandatory but encouraged to purchase an item to support Gong Cha’s hospitality. Thank you! ☺️

Let's hike Wells Branch Trail and walk for 1.5 hours for a total of 4.3 miles. This greenbelt trail is a well-maintained, mostly flat gravel path -- no hiking boots required, but do use your best judgment. Along the way, we’ll pass through several underground tunnels and cross a couple of streets without dedicated pedestrian lights, so we’ll pause to regroup and cross safely together. The trail is mostly shaded and passes through several parks, some with path lighting. Please bring at least 2 liters of water and a flashlight. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the trail! The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again. We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all. Turley, Martinelli, Biale, Seghesio, Ridge, Hartford Bedrock, Carlisle, Klinker Brick, Frog's Leap, and anything from the Rockpile vineyard is likely to be very good to great. The Prisoner wines began as a Zinfandel blend. Also bring a protein based appetizer to share and **a wine glass for your personal use.** Cheese and meats are best with these wines.
