May is the time for the European green toad to mate. We will keep our ears out for their calls. On this event we will meet in Oljehamnen in the vicinity of bus stop Svartögatan, go for a walk along the shoreline, enjoying the views of Lomma bay, and reach a place called Paddeborg, a pond where these toads are supposed to hang out, to enjoy their song. Perhaps even catch a glimpse of them. When we are satisfied after sunset we will head back to the bus stop. GreenKayak, a NGO dedicated to raise awareness to ocean pollution, makes few (open) kayaks available across the city to paddle and help collecting waste floating in the water. Open kayaks are typically easier to manovre than other types, and do not require EPP2/EPP3 patents. I booked 2 double kayaks for 4 ppl in total. Limhamns kalkbrott has been a nature reserve since 2011. It used to be a mining area, but nature has been roaming free since 1994, when the operations closed down. Public transportation: City bus 12 arrives at bus stop Sibbarpsvägen at 14.39 from the north. From there it's a short walk to the meeting point and gate.
