Borders Our host, Jenn, is looking for stories about borders. A physical barricade. A social stigma. A self-imposed ideal. What borders have you had to cross? We’re looking for true, first-person stories about getting past whatever’s in your way, or at least trying your darndest to. The *Borders* live storytelling show is on Thursday, 30th April. If you’ve got a story or just an idea in mind, come to one of our pitch workshops at the beginning of April. If your story is shortlisted for the show, our host will work with you as you polish and rehearse it. 📌 Story Requirements: * Your story must be true * It must be told in the first person—you are the main character * It should be between 5-10 minutes You don't need to have a completed or polished story ready - just a beginning idea is okay. This workshop is open to individuals at all levels, first-timers or old hands. The purpose of Hong Kong Stories is to help you become a better storyteller. Everyone has a story to tell, and everyone loves a story. Note: Please update your RSVP, ideally 12 hours before the event if you're unable to make it. In summer it can get hot and sweaty, and winter a bit cold, but drinks are refreshing and nothing beats that skyline! **Toilets** 🚻 There is a public toilet at the end of the piers near pier 2, or you could walk to the IFC shopping mall nearby. **Drinks** 🍺🍷🍹🥤 The Beer Bay serves refreshing alcoholic drinks, such as cold drafts, wine and plenty of mixers too.
