Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of an experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals. • Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Barceloneta. See the map for the location. • When is it? - Strength and conditioning classes take place on a Monday evening at 7.30pm (Park Barceloneta), Wednesday evening at 7 pm (Park Barceloneta), and Thursday evening at 6pm (Park Barceloneta). • Who runs it? - The Monday class is lead by Britta. The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be.
