**Copenhagen Language Exchange – Free Monthly Meetup** Join us for Copenhagen’s international language exchange night! 🌍 This is a relaxed, social meetup where locals and internationals come together to practice languages, meet new people, and have great conversations. We meet on the **first Monday of every month from 19:00 to 22:00**. It’s **free to join**, and everyone is welcome — whether you’re a complete beginner or a fluent speaker. ### What to expect * Casual conversations in different languages * Meet people from many countries and cultures * Practice speaking in a friendly, supportive environment * No teachers, no pressure — just real conversations When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by one of our **Swaplanguage Ambassadors**. You can speak any language you like — English, Danish, Spanish, French, German, or anything else people bring. Come alone or bring a friend — you’ll always find someone to talk to. Join us for a trail run/jog/walk! Note this is Easter Monday, a public holiday in Denmark and therefore we start already at 14:30h We encourage you to wear Easter / Springtime costumes. Feel free to join the silly pack. Only for this special occation there will also be Easter activities. We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”. How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize. Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30. Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up. Four-legged friends are welcome! We never cancel. See you there!

Let's go on a beautiful, easy day hike along one of the most dramatic and historically fascinating coastlines in all of Denmark, Stevns Klint. No big elevation, no rush, just white chalk cliffs, 65-million-year-old fossils, a medieval church teetering on the edge of a cliff, and the Baltic Sea stretching out in front of us the whole way. It's the kind of walk where you stop every ten minutes just to stare... Meeting point: Store Heddinge Station at 10:30. From there, we’ll walk to Stevns Klint (about 5 km), explore the area, and return via the same route , around 10 km total. Easy peasy... Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
