Запазете датата! Ще си задаваме занимателни гатанки, ще хапваме премазни гозби от бара и ще спекулираме за бъдещето на човечеството.
Този път централната ни тема е изкуственият интелект - но няма да се ограничаваме само до това, а ще се поизпитаме и по другите ни интересни теми, като биология, физика, философия, религия... и по малко гастрономия.
Програма:
19:30 Meet & greet, формиране на отбори, опознаване на асортимента на бара
20:00 Начало на играта - 2 кръга (поне! може и бонус)
22:00 Награждаване и забава
Отборите са оптимално от 3 до 6 души, който си няма достатъчно - можем да сформираме отбори на място.
Въпросите варират по трудност, ще има по нещо за всеки. Имали сме участници и на 9г, които не бяха на нула точки, така че и вие ще уцелите все нещо - а по-напредналите също не са се оплаквали, че им е скучно.
Правилата ще обясним на място, стандартната пъб куиз процедура - всяка маса е отбор и получава листче, на което пише отговорите и накрая на кръга го предава.
Освен почестването на мозъчетата и забавленията Църквата иска да ни осигури малко агитация да сме по-заинтересовани в бъдещето на нашата цивилизация и да сме по-активни при насочването му. Искаме бъдещето на света да се решава все повече от мислещи хора, като събралите се тук, от колкото традиционните ни морални авторитети. Бумът на AI технологиите е повод да преосмислим някои социални ценности и смятаме, че пастафарианците заслужават място около масата повече от колкото брадатите ни колеги.
Save the date! We will ponder entertaining riddles, eat noodly treats from the bar and speculate about the future of humanity.
This time our central topic is artificial intelligence - but we will also cover other interesting topics like biology, physics, philosophy, religion... and a little gastronomy.
Agenda:
19:30 Meet & greet, team formation, sampling the bar's selection
20:00 Start of the game - 2 rounds (at least! perhaps a bonus)
22:00 Awards and merriment
Optimally form a team of 3 to 6 people, if you don't have enough - we can form teams on the spot.
The questions vary in difficulty, there will be something for everyone. We also had 9 year old participants who finished with non-zero score, so rest assured that you will also hit something - and the know-it-alls were not bored either.
We'll review the rules in detail during the intro, it's the standard pub quiz procedure - each table is a team and receives a piece of paper on which to write the answers and hand it over at the end of the round.
In addition to exercising our brains and having fun, the Church wants to provide us with a little motivation to be more interested in the future of our civilization and to be more active in guiding it. We want the future of the world to be decided more by thinking people, like those gathered here, than by our traditional moral authorities. The boom in AI technologies is an occasion to rethink some social values, and we believe that Pastafarians deserve a place around the table more than our bearded colleagues.

Fun Friday: THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 at the Drexel Theatre!
Join us for a Fun Friday event as we get together to see the long-awaited sequel to the 2006 original, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2! Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci all return for this follow-up that finds the former assistant is now a rival! Here are details, a trailer and our plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: The film follow’s Miranda Priestly's struggle against Emily Charlton, her former assistant turned rival executive, as they compete for advertising revenue amidst declining print media. The film is directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna (who wrote/directed the 2006 original). It stars returning cast members Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci along with newcomers Justin Theroux and Kenneth Branagh.

PLAN: We’ll plan for a 7pm-ish showing and will meet in the lobby area about 30 minutes before showtime. Advance ticket purchase not required for this theater but early arrival is advised.
